The Parrot Island Waterpark First To Slide Contest offers kids under the age of 18 the opportunity to submit a short video explaining why they should be the first official waterpark guest to slide down the new 2-person tube slide after its completion this summer.
To qualify for consideration, contestants must submit a creative, family-friendly video, three minutes or less, that makes a strong case about why the contestant should earn the honor of sliding first, giving special emphasis to the contestant’s achievements and talents, both mainstream and quirky. Videos must be submitted by July 26th and contain the words "Parrot Island Waterpark First to Slide" in the title and the audio, include the hashtag #parrotislandwaterpark, and meet other criteria.

• Your video is posted to a PUBLIC YouTube channel
• Your video’s URL link is copied correctly in our online form
• The title of your video is "First to Slide – Parrot Island Waterpark"
• "Parrot Island Waterpark" mentioned in your video (audibly or visually)
• You must complete our online waiver form
- Contest is open to to legal United States residents over 48 inches tall. Parent or guardian must complete and sign the entry/consent.
- Parrot Island Waterpark reserved the right to adjust any facet of this completion at its sole discretion. Entries that do not conform to these guidelines will not be considered.
- LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON
- The video must be the entrants original work, and must not have been copied in whole or part from any other work.
- Parrot Island Waterpark – First to Slide must be in the title of the video so it can be found on YouTube. The description must also have the following hashtag: #parrotislandwaterpark.
- Parrot Island Waterpark and The City of Fort Smith staff, directors, and officers, and their immediate family are not eligible.
- All entries must include a video posted to YouTube, and the completed consent/entry form specifying the URL. Completed entries must be received by July 26th at 11:59.
- Entrants YouTube channel and posted video must be public.
- Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.
- Each entrant represents and warrants that the video submitted is an original work and that the entry does not incorporate and materials that would require the consent of any third party and/or any content that would violate the intellectual property, proprietary or private rights of others. By submitting an entry, the entrant grants to Parrot Island Waterpark and The City of Fort Smith a perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, publish, modify and create derivative works from the entrant's or team's video for any purpose in any media. In addition, Parrot Island Waterpark and The City of Fort Smith reserve the right to edit the video entry.
- All eligible submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges chosen by Parrot Island Waterpark and The City of Fort Smith.
- The winning videos will be linked on the website of Parrot Island Waterpark for visitors/patrons to enjoy after completion of the contest.
- The winning entries will be chosen internally and the winners will be chosen based on concept, originality, creativity, and entertainment value.
-All winning submissions will each receive free admission to Parrot Island Waterpark. All winners can each bring up to 4 guests who will also receive free entrance to Parrot Island Waterpark during the opening day of the new slide.
- All award decisions are final. Winners are solely responsible for applicable taxes, fees, or any other experiences associated with acceptance of the prizes.
- By participating, each competitor releases Parrot Island Waterpark and the City of Fort Smith, its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, consultants, or contractors from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind as a result of this competition.
- YouTube is not affiliated with the contest in any way, and is not responsible for the administration of the contest or the awarding of prizes.
- The winners will be announced on Parrot Island Waterpark's Facebook page (parrotislandWP) and website (parrotislandwaterpark.com).
